(Congress Report) – Ever since news broke that former Fox News host Tucker Carlson would be conducting an interview with controversial Russian President Vladimir Putin the internet has been in an uproar. Conservatives, overall, seem to be eager to hear Putin’s side of the story concerning the conflict his nation is having with Ukraine, while the left is, as usual, foaming at the mouth in pure rage, referring to Carlson as a traitor along with spouting all kinds of nastiness about him.
And all of this is occurring before the interview has even been officially released to the general public. Just imagine how people are going to react once it comes out? It will cause a massive firestorm.
Not only are individual Americans and our own government up in arms, the anger has spread to Europe as well. A member of the European Parliament is so angry he’s trying to sanction the journalist.
The Western Journal is reporting, “Carlson is the first Western media representative to interview Putin since the Russian invasion of Ukraine started on Feb. 24, 2022. Guy Verhofstadt, member of the Parliament and former Belgian prime minister, is requesting that the Parliament’s diplomatic arm — known as the External Action Service — take a look at the case, Newsweek reported.”

“He is accusing Carlson of being a propaganda promoter as opposed to an actual independent journalist. According to Newsweek, Verhofstadt called Carlson ‘a mouthpiece’ of former President Donald Trump — as if Carlson can’t think for himself,” the article noted.
Verhofstadt is seeking to place a travel ban on Carlson in the European Union.

EU lawmakers are now furious that a journalist flew to Russia to do journalism.
They now want to slap Tucker with sanctions for “assisting” Putin.

Why is it these people are so eager to give Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy every platform possible to share his side of the story, but are not at all wanting to hear from Putin? Shouldn’t we, as Americans, want to know, for sure, what is going on from both sides? After all, we’re the primary funding for Ukraine in this skirmish. We should be made aware of what Russia has to say for themselves.
“As Putin is a war criminal and the EU sanctions all who assist him in that effort, it seems logical that the External Action Service examine [Carlson’s] case as well,” he went on to say.
That doesn’t really sound like a valid reason to not hear Putin out.

“What makes Carlson frightening to entrenched powers is that he boasts a massive following and has a record of rebuking the establishment. He also applies the same critical eye and face-value distrust for U.S. politics and global politics that many conservative Americans currently do,” the WJ explained.
The left is always terrified of the individuals they cannot control. It’s why they hate former President Donald Trump as well. Neither of these guys can be bought, nor will they allow themselves to be silenced. In the eyes of radical progressives, that makes them extremely dangerous men.
It’s possible this interview will help expose the false narrative the deep state element within our own government has been pushing. Especially concerning the funding of the Ukraine war effort with almost zero accountability all the while we continue to hear stories of corruption from within the Ukrainian government.
“Americans have a right to know all they can about a war they’re implicated in and we have the right to tell them about it,” Carlson stated in a video posted to X that gave reasons for why he did the interview.
Carlson added, “We are not here because we love Vladimir Putin … We are not encouraging you to agree with what Putin may say in this interview, but we are urging you to watch it. You should know as much as you can.”
A spokesman for Putin has confirmed that the interview already took place.
The representative said it’s not pro-Russian and is not pro-Ukraine. He described it as being pro-American, adding, “but at least it contrasts with the position of the traditional Anglo-Saxon media.”

We have had a lot of journalists interview communist leaders, dictators and others from countries unfriendly to the US, even Fidel Castro. There were journalists embedded with Hamas. Nothing down to them. Going after tucker Carlson is ridiculous.
Funny Hillary didn’t get anything when she did this with Russia to start her lie about Trump and Russia to fix the election she lost. Even tho it was the voters that Voted her out, not trump.
