Sources: Tucker Carlson ‘Preparing For War’ Against Fox News

(Congress Report) – There’s little doubt that Fox News has already come to regret cutting ties with their proverbial cash cow, popular primetime host Tucker Carlson, who had a massive ratings draw for his nightly program, making it the most popular on the network. The ratings since the two parted ways have been swirling around the bottom of the toilet bowl ready to plunge straight down the pipes.

But it seems this is just the beginning of the nightmare for Fox, as new reports from Bryan Chai of The Western Journal indicate that Carlson is about to unleash the full force of his fury on his former employer, and it’s not going to be pretty. And given the about-face the “fair and balanced” network has done to its core audience of conservatives, this seems to be very well deserved.

Chai stated that an article from Axios has revealed Tucker Carlson is done messing around and ready to go on the offensive, gearing up to apply some serious pressure to Fox in order to get the company to release him from his contract.

“To preface this, since Carlson’s unceremonious firing from the suddenly-struggling news network, there have been reports circulating that Fox News would use contractual obligations to tie up Carlson well through the 2024 elections. Axios reported that Fox News would be willing to pay Carlson $20 million a year to not work for the duration of his deal, which runs through January 2025,” Chai wrote.

Given how much of a fiery personality Carlson has, it’s no surprise that sitting around and doing nothing is not something he nor his legal team enjoys doing.

“The idea that anyone is going to silence Tucker and prevent him from speaking to his audience is beyond preposterous,” Bryan Freedman, Carlson’s lawyer, said in a statement to Axios.

Axios is also saying that Carlson is “preparing to unleash allies to attack Fox News,” as part of his effort to get out of his current deal with the company.

“As to what Carlson’s plans are if/when his attack campaign against Fox News is successful, there have already been reports of Fox News competitors offering Carlson a hefty salary to come and work for them,” Chai continued. “There’s also been a report that Carlson is wanting to moderate an independent GOP presidential debate — possibly even headlined by former President Donald Trump.”

However, the piece from Axios seems to indicate that the ambitions of the conservative host might be much more grand than just moderating a debate or going to work for another conservative news company.

He may have plans to start up a network of his own that would be a “direct-to-consumer” type of platform, where those who are dedicated fans of Carlson’s work can just pay him directly for the content they want to consume.

There are also rumors that the popular television host has been in talks with Twitter CEO and owner Elon Musk about a potential collaboration, though nothing solid has come out of that just yet.

“One interesting tidbit from this new report is that, in perhaps a counter-measure to the reported ‘ppo file’ of dirt that Fox News has on Carlson, the former network host also has his fair share of dirt on his ex-employers,” the report noted.

One source that spoke with Axios remarked that Tucker Carlson “knows where a lot of the bodies are buried, and is ready to start drawing a map.” Now that just sounds plain ominous, doesn’t it? If I were Fox News, I’d be ready to cancel that contract.

“They’re coming to him and saying: ‘Do you want me to hit Fox?”’ one source went on to say. “He’s been saying: ‘No. I want to get this done quiet and clean.’”

That was before the additional shenanigans from Fox, which included leaking behind-the-scenes videos of Carlson chatting with co-workers.

“Tucker should walk away & forfeit the pay. Let Fox take him to court over the sole issue of silencing him for the rest of the election season (!)-the man they fired & smeared relentlessly while he stayed silent. See how their dwindling audience repays them for that.” Megyn Kelly, a former Fox host herself, asserted last Friday, according to BizPac Review.

This could end up being the biggest media showdown in decades, folks. Pop your popcorn.

  1. This is my first post on this issue…
Tucker should be careful with what he intends to do. Filling himself with hatred is something he should forget about. Eventually hatred will engulf him and his show and many followers will shut him down. Vengeance is not a strategy of quality and is likely to backfire.
