(Congress Report) – Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene stated on Tuesday evening that she’s taking action against the House Democrat staffer who Capitol Police busted on security camera footage defacing posters outside of her office in Washington.
Green conducted an interview with Just the News, where she revealed that she felt like she didn’t have a choice but to get a protective order against Timothy Hysom, who currently serves as the chief of staff for Massachusetts Democrat Rep. Jake Auchincloss, due to the fact that the U.S. attorney’s office in Washington has decided to reject a police request for an arrest warrant in order to charge Hysom.
But our governmental system — which includes the justice system — is not in any way, shape, or form biased against conservatives, remember? That’s what the left continues to tell us on a daily basis, but if there’s one thing the January 6th trials have proven, it’s that if you are on the wrong side of the ideological spectrum, expect to be treated as public enemy number one.
“Nancy Pelosi and Democrat leadership don’t believe in protecting me. So I have no other choice but to do whatever I can do to protect myself and protect my staff,” the congresswoman went on to say during an interview featured on Just the News, Not Noise, television show.
“Matt Corridoni, a spokesman for Auchincloss, said Tuesday night he believed the order was unnecessary because Hysom has no intention of interacting with the congresswoman,” the report from Just the News continued.
“Tim has never had direct contact with the congresswoman, nor does he plan to in the future. The order is unnecessary and nothing more than political theater,” he went on to say concerning the situation.
Corridoni confirmed Monday that Hysom had put up a bunch of stickers on posters that were outside of Greene’s office, which declared the very much settled science that there are only two genders, male and female. The reason? Because Hysom felt like that message was “bullying.”
Yes, that’s right. Now affirming what science has taught us for centuries is “bullying.” Welcome to the clown show, ladies and gentlemen. Buckle your seat belts, you’re in for a bumpy ride.
The spokesman then stated that he didn’t think the actions taken by Hysom broke any laws and stated that the request made to prosecutors to file charges and issue an arrest warrant was “ridiculous.”
“Greene said her concerns have been exacerbated by the fact that she has received a total of 60 death threats in 2022 but has been turned down by House leadership for a security detail,” Just the News reported.
“She said she was spooked when Capitol Police and prosecutors briefed her on what they observed about Hysom when he placed stickers, mostly custom-made religious statements quoting the Bible and criticizing Greene’s position on gender, and said she is concerned that Hysom remains allowed to work in the same Longworth Office Building where she and Auchincloss have offices,” the report continued.
“I didn’t even know who this person was that was continuing to attack me for months and months,” Greene stated. “And all I know is he refuses to apologize, He’s doubled down on what he has done.”
“The official police request for an arrest warrant said officers captured Hysom on video surveillance twice defacing the posters in mid-March but believed he was responsible for a total of seven instances going back to January. Capitol Police asked prosecutors for permission to arrest the Democratic staffer on a District of Columbia charge prohibiting the defacing of public or private property and prosecutors declined,” the report added.
“The Department of Justice refuses to prosecute Tim Hysom, Jake Auchincloss’s chief of staff, even though he’s been caught by Capitol Police, he’s on camera on video twice, attacking the sign, attacking my religion, attacking my gender, and attacking my beliefs on protecting gender and also the beliefs of my district,” the congresswoman said. “And so they refuse to prosecute him. Nancy Pelosi will not provide me with secure security detail, even though they provide themselves with a security detail.”
Again, if you want the basic rights afforded to you, the left demands that you hold to their statement of faith or else be excommunicated, meaning you no longer have access to the benefits you once had, like basic security.
Notice that it’s perfectly acceptable for the radical left to engage in acts of vandalism inside the Capitol building without being tossed into prison and prosecuted. Other political factions are apparently not extended the same grace.
