Exclusive Alert: Tucker Carlson Set To Interview Edward Snowden Next?

(Congress Report) – Several different reports have come out recently stating that former Fox News host Tucker Carlson might have reached out to other controversial figures in Russia for interviews besides President Vladimir Putin. The conversation with Putin was a smash success for Carlson, who has become an independent journalist after Fox gave him the boot last year. Judging by the number of views he pulls in on a regular basis, I’d say the network made a rather huge mistake. There’s no way they will ever recover what they lost with his departure.

Here’s more from The Western Journal, “According to the website Semafor, while Carlson was there, he met with Edward Snowden, a former contractor with the National Security Agency who blew the whistle on NSA activities that targeted Americans. Snowden eventually fled to Russia, where he has lived for several years.”

“The Semafor report said that Carlson did conduct an interview with Tara Reade, who has accused President Joe Biden of sexually assaulting her in the 1990s when he was still in the Senate representing Delaware. Reade has claimed she was sexually assaulted by Biden in 1993, a claim Biden has denied,” the article continued.

Reade made the move to Russia last year after claiming she felt her life was in danger as long as she still resided in the United States.

Semafor then revealed they got a text message from Carlson himself stating it was “totally false” that he had meetings with Snowden and Reade, however the outlet did not provide any additional details.

The reaction to the Putin interview has been split, with many calling Carlson a traitor for daring to give the Russian president an opportunity to share his side of the story when it comes to the invasion of Ukraine. Others have hailed the former Fox News host as a hero, declaring he has opened up the door for peace to be pursued between the two nations.

“Tucker Carlson is far from being the first Western journalist to have aligned himself with the enemy. There’s a long tradition of the likes of Hitler and Stalin finding pliable Brits and Americans to do their propaganda for them,” Politico opinions editor Jamie Dettmer stated in a commentary piece that was released on Thursday.

Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Kremlin, noted that the interview with Putin has made Carlson more popular than ever before, as per reports from Russian news agency TASS.

“There were certain concerns that poor Carlson would be persecuted even prior to the interview. As I understand, he is having a hard time now, too. But, on the other hand, I think, being quite a smart person, he must have foreseen that it would stir such a strong buzz,” Peskov remarked. “And it’s fair to say, this interview has added much to his popularity.”

Peskov is certainly correct about Carlson being smart. He’s sharp as a tack, that much is certain. And while drumming up buzz and gaining views is essential to making a living and keeping his platform going, he’s a fair journalist at heart. Tucker Carlson legitimately cares about the truth, presenting both sides of an issue and allowing Americans to make up their own minds.

We could use a little more of that in the media.
