(Congress Report) – Congresswoman Mayra Flores put out a response Sunday to a video that is making the rounds online reportedly showing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi giving the fresh-faced and recently elected Texan’s young daughter an elbow during the swearing-in ceremony.
It seems that ever since last Friday’s Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade Pelosi has been a little bit unhinged. Apparently that is a side effect of having what you thought was a federal right to sacrifice unborn children on the altar to convenience sent back to the states.
Not like it impacts her any, given she’s in her eighties, but hey, that’s a whole other story.
According to a report from Just the News, Flores and her family attended the ceremony last Tuesday after she won a special election back on June 14 that has given the GOP control of a seat that has been held by Democrats for a very long time. Not only that, but the victory also made her the first Mexican-born woman to be elected to the lower chamber.
“Over the weekend, actor James Woods – known for his conservative commentary on Twitter – posted a video of the incident and wrote, ‘I love this princess stood her ground, while Nancy showed her true colors,'” the report said.
Flores, in a statement that seemingly agrees with Woods, replied by saying, “I am so proud of my strong, beautiful daughter for not allowing this to faze her. She continued to smile and pose for the picture like a Queen. No child should be pushed to the side for a photo op. PERIOD!!”

“The video clip shows Pelosi nudging Flores’ young daughter to the side. A full video of the ceremony appears to show Pelosi trying to make room for a pastor and his wife to join in the swearing-in photo-op,” Just the News reported.
“Flores, whose husband is a Border Security officer, campaigned in part on a message of securing the U.S.-Mexico border from the waves of migrants that have been flooding across for years, and especially since the beginning of the Biden administration,” the report concluded.
I don’t think finding out Pelosi is rude and disrespectful is going to shock the vast majority of Americans who have been dealing with her nonsense for what seems like an eternity. However, to be that way toward another person’s child is a bit ridiculous.
But, again, Pelosi has been sort of going off the deep end since Friday’s court decision, so that’s probably playing a role in her attitude.
Let’s hope that we see more historic victories for Republicans later this year in the midterms so we can take back control of Congress and get this nation back on track.
