MTG Calls For States To Begin Considering Secession

(Congress Report) – Thanks to the example set by former President Donald Trump over the course of his political career, which officially began back in 2015 when he announced he would be running for the Oval Office, we have a brand new generation of individuals voted into both chambers of Congress who are diehard conservatives willing to speak hard truths and stand boldly on their convictions. One of those folks is Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican.

On Monday, Greene, like most average Americans, became livid as she considered the negative impact the current border crisis is having on not only the southern states, but the entire country. In fact, she became so angry over the whole ordeal, which President Joe Biden and his ilk are doing nothing to fix, that she suggested it might be time for states to consider the idea of secession if action is not taken soon.

“If the Biden admin refuses to stop the invasion of cartel led human and drug trafficking into our country, states should consider seceding from the union.” the Republican congresswoman posted on X.

“From Texas to New York City to every town in America, we are drowning from Biden’s traitorous America last border policies.” she said, according to Jack Davis of The Western Journal.

This isn’t the first time that Greene has brought up the topic of secession.

“We need a national divorce. We need to separate by red states and blue states and shrink the federal government. Everyone I talk to says this. From the sick and disgusting woke culture issues shoved down our throats to the Democrat’s traitorous America Last policies, we are done.” she went on to say back on Feb. 20.

A lot of Americans are beginning to feel the same way. Radical progressives have worked tirelessly for years now to sow division among the general population and the crop is ready to harvest. Liberals have become unbearable and unwilling to agree to disagree, to find common ground from which to work toward solutions for the issues facing most people on a daily basis.

It’s their way or no way. When people are this far apart from each other ideologically speaking, it’s almost completely and totally impossible for the two sides to work together or form a cohesive, fully functioning society.

This post from Greene was actually part of a series that were published at the time.

“Impeach Biden or give us a national divorce. We don’t pay taxes to fund foreign country’s wars who aren’t even NATO allies. We aren’t sending our sons & daughters to dies for foreign borders & foreign ‘democracy.’ America is BROKE. Criminals & Cartels reign. And you’re a fool.” she later stated, making a reference to President Joe Biden and U.S. support for Ukraine in its conflict with Russia.

Greene clarified that she was not trying to start conflict or make the division in our country worse. In fact, her call for secession is exactly the opposite.

“The last thing I ever want to see in America is a civil war. No one wants that — at least everyone I know would never want that — but it’s going that direction, and we have to do something about it,” she remarked during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity.

Greene made a similar post back in February.

“People saying national divorce is a bad idea because the left will never stop trying to control us literally make the case for national divorce.” she commented. “We don’t want a civil war. We’re not surrendering. We’re tired of complaining with no change and want to protect our way of life.”

“In December 2021, Greene agreed with a tweet that said people moving into a red state from a blue one should face a waiting period before they can vote,” Davis penned.

“All possible in a National Divorce scenario. After Democrat voters and big donors ruin a state like California, you would think it wise to stop them from doing it to another great state like Florida. Brainwashed people that move from CA and NY really need a cooling off period.” she opined at the time.

Greene created a poll on the topic back in 2021, which garnered a shocking 84,000 responses.

A total of 47.7 percent of individuals revealed that they were not in support of secession, while 43 percent declared they were down for splitting. The rest of the participants were unsure.

  1. Yes. We have thought the same, since the illegitimacy of obaammaa , which was only been reinforced by obamma on Steroids, aka idiotka joe, which is another illegitimate and illegal regime. We live in Montana and since obama and increasing to super major proportions in an invasion from the radical leftist populations who have totally screwed up their blue states along with biden, we also agree there should be a waiting list and new visitors should also pass a citizenship test, which would include Our Constitution and our Democratic Republican form of government , as well as to show that new immigrants to Montana especially from blue states have legal and/or naturalized citizenship. No illegals will be allowed in any REd states. Illegal immigrants are criminals from the outset. Also, Montana has major reserves of rare minerals and more clean coal than other countries, which have always been very beneficial to a minority of ultra rich out of staters, and more recently been stolen by overseas countries. Our coal especially goes to China almost exclusively, since obama and biden have sold out to China. WE have also very rich rare and valuable mineral reserves which are also being raped and stolen by oligarchs from South Africa and other countries. Montanans have suffered historically from this theft, and we would need to nationalize what we have remaining.

The Red states should all unite to the NEW USA, and take our American Flag with us. The blue states can fly the Swatstika or the Ukrainian flag, since that is what they support and they mean the same thing.
We have found that there is no reasoning with leftist dems, because they have not the ability to follow logical reason. Leftists have no curiosity no critical thinking skills, and they are as ostriches with their heads perpetually stuck in the sand. They do not want to know.

    • I agree, but anyone wanting to join the New USA should have to pass a test on the constitution. and learn the basics of the history of the United States. They should be literate and speak and read English. They should be able to pass a GED test if not still of school age or take a GED class and then pass a GED test. All schools should be taught by certified educators that can pass their own exams. No transgendering, especially in children. No sexually explicit education would be taught and no sexually explicit books would be allowed in schools. All previously banned classic books would be allowed back in school. No CRT would be allowed in schools. No biological men would be allowed to compete in women’s sports. Only the American flag can be flown from any government building and I would go further by saying, on public display. Many of our government agencies need a major overhaul and some need to be dissolved. Any New USA government people need to abide by the constitution as written or move back to the blue states. All elections would be monitored and audited and ALL voters would have a valid ID to vote. All real criminals (not political prisoners) would face punishment and sentencing suitable to the crime. All political parties’ constituents would be treated the same and fairly. Prisons would be under the New USA government’s control and no longer farmed out to private entities and would be humane for all prisoners re: cleanliness, food, medical care, etc. No special treatment for all. Taxes would be fair for all, based on number of people in the household and income. Tax write-offs would be limited and based on the circumstances – no longer the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. We would offer incentives to companies that are “American-Made” and increase taxes for imported merchandise. This might take a while to implement while we incentivize bringing back outsourced components/products. We would becoming energy-efficient again and not rely on other countries’ oil resources. Our borders would be CLOSED and any illegal alien would be deported back to their countries. There would be vetting on all asylum seekers and only ports of entry would be allowed. No government handouts to non-American citizens and they should be able to prove self-sufficiency when applying for citizenship. Our welfare system needs to be overhauled in a huge way – no more free handouts for those who refuse to work. There is another system for the disabled and should not be confused with welfare. We need to continue work on the Veterans Affairs system. We need to have more respect for our brave veterans! It shouldn’t be that difficult. This was just a list off the top of my head but more and more kept coming to mind – I’m sure there’s way more. Have a great day!

      • Well thought out Leslie, and I agree with your suggestions and the more comprehensive tests. Citizens most definitely need to learn English. They need to know how our government works according to the Constitution, and obviously know the precepts of the Constitution. Schools also need to teach true history, because the adage of “not knowing history dooms us to past mistakes (…”doomed to repeat history when one does not know it”)
I know what you mean though, there will be much to do, because too many generations did not. Many things and concerns keep coming to mind. A Good start would be involving all of the red states in a new USA coalition,, and the number of stars representing these red states will be the only part of our present American Flag that will change. I believe we will have to totally revamp the entire court system, so that our Constitution, which is in plain language, also will be in Reality and indeed the fundamental law of the land. I believe, and I am sure that many agree, that a huge part of the problems of America are due to lawyers and the present legal system. Since the Constitution is easy to understand for ALL, it will become the basis of LAW as it was intended. Most importantly, the courts and judges will be from all walks of life and not be the exclusive province of the elitist lawyers. There will be no need for lawyers to complicate the basic laws with their own jargon. It is worth considering that the “profession” of Law would not be needed in a legal system based on plain language, so that everyone can understand, and not only an elite few with their personal biases and methods of manipulating the law for those who have the means to pay.

      • Red states are notorious deadbeats who rely on the federal government for much of their state funding. While at the same time, huge federal expenditures on things like military bases and roads buoy their economies. The numbers are indisputable. Of the 10 states most dependent on the federal government, 8 are red states. Of the 10 states least dependent on the federal government, 8 are blue states.

Conservatives boast of the power of the unregulated free market. They market themselves as business-friendly states. But they mean they are business owner friendly, while workers can f— themselves. I challenge a conservative to point to any policy, backed by actual evidence, that has improved the economic circumstance of the regular individual. (NB. While the GOP sells tax cuts as a boon to all, they overwhelmingly benefit the rich and have led to vast wealth inequality.)

By every statistical measure, the citizens of red states have worse health, income, addiction, criminal and educational outcomes than those of blue states. Liberals should not have to subsidize this second-rate system.

And finally, when the red states secede, they will have to take their share of the national debt with them. Then they can own the budget-busting insanity of 40 years of tax cuts for the wealthy and the Fortune 500.

Despite being underwritten by blue state taxpayers, the red states would start with a handicap. Of the 25 states with per capita GDP above the US median, 16 are blue states. Of the 25 states below the median, 17 are red states.

And that difference is nothing new. Just before the advent of the Civil War, the North’s economy dwarfed that of the South. By 1860, 90 percent of the nation’s manufacturing output came from northern states — which produced 17 times more cotton and woolen textiles than the South, 30 times more leather goods, 20 times more pig iron, and 32 times more firearms.

The good old boys talk a good game. But they are all hat and no cattle. Let them figure out how to pay their own way. And they will even be able to build that border wall Mexico has yet to pay for.

    • Interesting read Ed. Now explain why the idea of how a litmus test for citizens of the Union who locate elswhere in the Union works. Be sure to mention the 1930s SCOTUS rendering regarding economic refugees, that no barriers or litmus tests for interstate travel is Constitutioal. That is, if you can.

      • You have missed the picture. When states secede this means they are NOT part of the country they have seceded from. If a group of states secede and later join under one banner and their beliefs are aligned they can elect to be a new nation. It does not matter if they were adjoining states before the secession there would now be barriers and a common sense litmus test because there would no longer be “interstate travel” but country to country travel. The last two Democratic administrations have seemingly made it there duty to destroy everything even remotely American and replace it with a nation going under.

      • You bring up a good point. And I realize that there will be much to accomplish to fix these basic problems. One of the basic and most important issues is the entire judicial system is totally screwed up and corrupt. A good start would be to eliminate the so-called practice and profession of lawyers. This is the biggest source of the world’s problems. Judges should be real people and definitely not be lawyers, because the system is not applied equally and the most corrupted of any vocation. Real people and real Humans know what is right and wrong. Lawyers do not care about justice. They manipulate it. With our Existing Constitution, we will reform the laws of the land. The Constitution is written in plain language, so that anybody can understand. The Supreme Court has shown itself to be corrupted and illogical and unequal of applications of to the people. The present court has members that were appointed by illegitimate administrations, and are all lawyers. Hopefully you get my gist. All of these thoughts will require debate and much time and energy to put together. It is a huge undertaking, but it has to be done and at least started soon for this to work to eventually succeed.

  2. I totally agree with all you’ve written, I have lived in California for 60 years and the Demorats and the worst GRUSOME have destroyed a beautiful state, wish the voters would wake up. They will not talk or engage in any conversation. Just follow like sheep right over the cliff. We the people need to take back our country. UNITED WE STAND.

  3. It’s good that someone in a position of power is suggesting secession of Red States. I have been making the same recomendation for many years, exactly as Mr. Obama was elected president. It is now impossible to turn this mess around. Our Union has been invaded by enemies from within and have gained a lot of ground. They won’t back down until they see our Union torn to pieces. This is how we should do it:
All Red States would seceed at once; Amend the US Constitution with bullet proof conditions and create the new Union. Some Blue States will want to also join, but they will have to comply with certain conditions. By doing this this way, we can act with speed and be very effective. We will turn this around quickly. Let us not wait any more, hoping for a miracle that will not happen.

  4. Secession isn’t the answer. Look what happened with the Democratic secession in the 1960s for their Confederate States of America based on their still current values of slavery, sedition, segregation, secession, socialism (current), and racism. No, rather, we need a cleansing. States should work toward the removal of Washington, DC and elimination of the current federal government. Have Maryland reclaim their land, then create a new capital in the heart of the nation based on our original governing document, the Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union of our first two decades, prior to the Constitution which created Big Government. It was totally opposite in structure in that the States had the final say in whatever the National Government did. This would also move us away from the Globalist filth infesting Washington DC and so many state capitols. Then indict the Political Crime Families such as the Biden’s, Obama’s, Clinton’s, Pelosi’s, Bush”s, Schumer’s, etc. Give them long prison sentences and confiscate their wealth, so they can experience living and expiring in destitution and poverty, as they have done to so many others. Also toss in the Soros, Gates, Schwab, and other World Economic Forum/Bankster/Bilderberg families just for good measure.

  5. The article topic is reckless.
Advocating secession while due-process Constitutionality is still in effect, is defined as insurrectionism. For Rep. Marjorie Greeen to to so would also be seditionist.
Please rethink the premise, Mr. Writer.

  6. MTG has stated that the wildfires out west are caused by jews with space laser satellites, and other QAnonsense. Believing what she says only makes any follower a like minded idiot.
