Donald Trump’s Lawyer Has Perfect Response When Judge Says ‘Control Your Client’

(Congress Report) – It’s probably an understatement to say that things within the civil trial of former President Donald Trump in New York are, well, anything but civil. Explosion after explosion — in the metaphorical sense — took place on Monday in the courtroom as Trump took the stand to testify. This is to be expected because the former president has a well earned reputation for being a legitimate counterpuncher, meaning that when he’s attacked, he blocks then delivers a blow of his own. Again, this is figurative language. It’s sad that has to be explained, but that’s the age in which we live.

As per reporter Jack Davis of The Western Journal, legal analyst Lisa Rubin took to X/Twitter where she posted a segment featuring the judge presiding over the case. Judge Arthur Engoron blew steam out of his ears and unleashed on Trump defense lawyer Chris Kise, expressing his disdain with the answers the former president was giving from the stand.

“Mr. Kise, can you control your client? This is not a political rally … Maybe you should have a talk with him right now,” Rubin revealed Engoron as saying during the proceedings.

Kise wasted no time in replying that he believed it would be better to allow the “former and future chief executive of the United States” to give his answers. Did you catch that? He called Trump the future executive, meaning he’s already predicting he will once again occupy the Oval Office, defeating President Joe Biden in the general election next year.

Hugo Lowell, who writes for the Guardian, also posted a snippet of the whole thing on social media.

“I beseech you to control him if you can. If you can’t, I will. I will excuse him and draw every negative inference that I can,” Engoron stated during the trial, according to the Guardian reporter.

“Lowell also noted that at one point, Trump attorney Alina Habba said in open court that if the state prosecutor wanted better answers, he should ask better questions,” Davis penned in his report. “That prompted Engoron to order her to sit down.”

“Very, very unfair trial, and I hope the public is watching,” Trump remarked.

The thing that so many people love about Trump is that he is consistently himself, no matter where he is or what he is involved with. What you see is what you get with him and that’s refreshing. He put this characteristic on display while giving testimony and referred to New York Attorney General Letitia James as a “political hack” who was using the trial to help her political career, a report that was published by the New York Post disclosed.

He even took a shot at Judge Engoron, going on to say, “Everybody’s watching this case. He called me a fraud and he didn’t know anything about me. The fraud is on the court and not on me.”

There’s no doubt this whole trial is a farce that was cooked up for political reasons, transforming the legal system into a weapon to use against those the current administration deem enemies. Ultimately, they hope something Trump is charged with will stick and they can justify his removal from the 2024 election.

Habba was extremely upset at how the judge treated her.

“I was told to sit down today. I was yelled at and I’ve had a judge, who is unhinged, slamming a table. Let me be very clear: I don’t tolerate that in my life. I’m not going to tolerate it here,” she asserted.

“And the numbers don’t lie when President Trump runs for office in 2024,” Habba went on to say, an article from the Post divulged. “Those numbers are loud and clear.”

“This country is falling apart. And if we don’t stop corruption, in courtrooms where attorneys are gagged, where attorneys are not allowed to say what they need to say to protect their client’s interest. It doesn’t matter what your politics are. Everyone in this country has a right to put up a defense,” she declared.

Just before going into the courtroom on Monday, the former president commented that his trial “is really election interference. This trial is ridiculous.”

“It’s political warfare, as you would call it, or political lawfare,” he continued. “I got a lot of names for it.”

  1. I have to admit that what is going on, I’ve never seen before in my life.
This trial reminds me of the bias engrained in the American South from post Civil War, until the late 1960’s
You would think that we were watching the trail in “To Kill A Mockingbird”, where truth means nothing, and the results are predetermined.

  2. Why is it they say they have proof of election fraud in NJ by Nj city council and his wife They say there is enough proof to overturn the 2020 election. If we don’t get this 2020 overturned this country will not make it another year.

  3. The article describes Trump as someone who knows how to fight. The article also implies that that is an admirable trait. I agree with both of those opinions. However, I only admire people who know how to fight fairly. I despise people who fight dirty. Trump is as dirty a fighter as they come.

    • would you bring a knife to a gun fight with a known criminal (the criminal court)? do you prefer ameliorating Iran? I know your type. Fight for our country or renounce it.

    • Probably. But he didn’t take millions from China, Ukraine and other countries in at least 20+ shell companies. Do you know what it takes for Banks to submit SAR’s (suspicious activity reports)? Banks don’t want to have to deal with the government either, so to submit -from various banks – more than 150 of them – who’s more dirty??? At least Trump didn’t let in more than 8 million illegal immigrants, more sex trafficking than we’ve ever seen and introduce the more crazy laws governing the transgender people, drag queens etc. affecting American children, more fentanyl this country has ever seen and more deaths from it, and has given so much money to Afganistan AFTER the withdrawal – and I can name so much more that harms American families. No, Trump is not my favorite. But I’ll take him over “crooked” Joe Biden and his horrible regime any day of the week.

  4. Trump needs to speak up They Judge Attorney general And anybody else al after Trump there is no justice and there won,t be. There conduct is no better than Trump. trump must defend self. cooked up Deal and pathetic..

  5. When you are fighting the dirtiest of the demigods, you have to fight dirt with dirt, anybody that believes these cases against the trumpster are legitimate needs to go see what property is worth in Florida. this judge is a hack! should be disbarred for being stupid! there will be a eye opener when the democrats, are finally called out on their treachery and treasonous acts. we the people for the people. as most politicians are corrupt it is hard to believe that this country still exists.

  6. Sadly the corruption has run amok – anyone with a sound mind can see right through the farce . It’s a histrionic spectacle that they create a theatrical sensation over what someone’s opinion of value is. In Real Estate that is the definition- AN OPINION. This is the most ludicrous and deceptive tactic to twist an election that anyone has seen . If you have an ounce of intelligence it is clear . Otherwise it’s a clear case of fools rush in .

  7. If I bet you one thing I believe this will make Trump stronger and better to be elected the next President of the United States. go get those dirty bastards Mr. Trump. I’ll kick me off Facebook.

  8. Well judge goofy has set up the perfect situation of a successful appeal. His comments about drawing every possible negative inference is, on it’s face, evidence of bias and misconduct. Disbar the judge. He and the NY AG are the criminals.
