(Congress Report) – A total of 27 House Democrats revealed their true colors after deciding to vote against increasing protection for the immediate families of Supreme Court Justices on Tuesday.
However, according to a report from The Western Journal, the opposition put forward by Democrats like New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, was not able to prevent the bill from passing 396-27.
This legislation came about as a result of the leak of a draft opinion from the Supreme Court which seems to indicate that the justices are going to overturn Roe v. Wade, which would then make the regulation of abortion a state issue, which has the left terrified they will lose the ability to murder their unborn children for the sake of convenience.
Since then, there have been many protests held outside the homes of the justices, and one man who had planned on killing Justice Brett Kavanaugh, but decided to turn himself in instead. The man cited the draft opinion and the recent school shooting in Uvalde, Texas as his motivation for wanting to murder Kavanaugh.
By voting against this bill, these 27 Democrats have essentially come out and condoned the tactics being used by the left to intimidate the justices into not overturning Roe v. Wade.
Republican Rep. Andy Biggs of Arizona rightfully referred to the Democratic opposition to protecting the families of the justices as “ludicrous and shameful.”
27 House Democrats just voted against passing expanded security for Supreme Court justices’ families.
This comes just days after a rogue individual attempted to assassinate Justice Kavanaugh at his Maryland home.
This is ludicrous and shameful.

“The bill gives the families of the nine justices 24-hour protection and comes after a man was arrested for allegedly plotting the assassination of Justice Brett Kavanaugh, according to Fox News,” the WJ report said.
“I wake up this morning and I start to hear murmurs that there is going to be an attempt to pass the Supreme Court supplemental protection bill the day after gun safety legislation for schools and kids and people is stalled,” Ocasio-Cortez went on to say.
“Oh, so we can pass protections for us and here easily, right? But we can’t pass protections for everyday people? I think not,” she continued.
“House Minorite Leader Kevin McCarthy had made three requests to pass the bill as the Senate did, by unanimous consent, and failed every time, according to The Hill,” the report continued.
“The House Democrats have delayed it for more than a month. The question the American public asks is, why? Why would you delay it?” McCarthy stated.
“We have all known that additional security has been necessary since the Dobbs opinion was leaked last month,” he added.
Republican Sen. John Cornyn of Texas claimed that House leaders were mounting a “transparent attempt to stall the legislation,” according to a report from CBS.
“The line between legitimate public discourse and acts of violence has been crossed, and House Democrats cannot continue to turn a blind eye,” he went on to say of the matter. “We don’t have time to spare when it comes to protecting the members of the court and their families.”
House Minority Whip Steve Scalise of Louisiana also called out the delay.
“It just begs the question: Why did Speaker [Nancy] Pelosi delay it for over a month?” the Republican asked, according to a piece published by Politico.
