(Congress Report) – A group of 19 attorneys general from across the country are coming together and weighing in on the gag order that’s been slapped on former President Donald Trump. The order is being used to try and keep him silent during his trial so that he cannot communicate to his voter base. Trump is enduring corruption and political bias at the hands of vengeful Democrats who are desperately trying to pull him out of the 2024 race before the general election starts next year.
The case this group of patriots is attempting to make is that the order isn’t just affecting Trump, but all Americans, as it prevents them from hearing from potentially the most influential political figure in modern politics. And that is the truth. Trump holds a massive amount of influence and respect for conservative folk, those in the middle of the road, and even a few on the left as well. We all deserve to know what’s really going on in this trial as it impacts his presidential campaign and our choice of who we vote for in both the primary and the general election.
“A friend of the court brief filed Tuesday by Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird and joined by West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrissey and 17 of their colleagues argues that Judge Tanya Chutkan’s gag order on Trump related to his trial in the D.C. circuit court went so far in denying Trump’s right to free speech that it denied the rights of countless millions of Americans to hear it,” Joe Saunders of The Western Journal penned.
“As administrators of free and fair elections, we have an interest in ensuring no illegal prior restraint is entered against any major political candidate. Indeed, our citizens have an interest in hearing from major political candidates in that election,” the brief proclaimed. “The Order threatens the States’ interests by infringing on President Trump’s free speech right.”
The gag order, first issued by Judge Chutkan back on October 16, was designed to prevent the former president from being what she called the “fair administration of justice.” Yeah, right. It’s really just to stop him from using the trial in campaign speeches and materials that would help expose the weaponization of the justice system and likely lead to a massive expansion of Trump’s base.
On Nov. 4, an appeals court issued a ruling that paused the gag order pending a full hearing on the issue, which has now been scheduled for Nov. 20. The attorneys general who put their John Hancock down on the brief are all members of the GOP, but this is not just a partisan issue.
“In a statement Tuesday, Morrissey said the order conflicts with the foundational American right of free political discourse. He noted that even the American Civil Liberties Union has taken a stand against the order,” Saunders reported. Man, when the ACLU is on Trump’s side, you know the left has gone too far. This is a pretty surprising source of help and support.
Saunders then wrote, “The ACLU is supposedly dedicated to fighting for constitutionally guaranteed freedoms — and even occasionally lives up to that billing. But the reality is, it’s been disgracefully leftist in its orientation for a generation or more.”
“This is not just about Trump saying what he wants to say; it’s about protecting our constitutional right to free speech,” Morrissey explained in the statement. “And when political foes join in a common defense, you know there’s something there.”
The bottom line is, if you allow the weaponization of the justice system by the federal government, ultimately, that power can never be stripped away and put back in the box. The government will then use it on whoever they want, whenever they want. It impacts Americans on all sides of the political spectrum.
And that’s why it is critical to fight back against this nonsense and not allow the order to continue standing. Freedom is at stake, a fundamental right that will not allow us to survive as a nation if it is taken away from us. The attorneys general understand this and so does the ACLU.

Our Constitution was created by Godly men or those men who desired that our Nation be founded on godly principals, morals, etc . as well as our Right to Free Speech. We are not a democracy, we are a Constitutional Republic. yet the left is doing all they can to make our Nation a Police State. By taking away our Rights to believe as we want, to say what we want, to take away parents’ rights to teach their children and not allow to be indoctrinated by the left & so much more – are just some of the things the left has been doing to our nation for years. – All the left politicians want is Power & Money (& that includes bribes from lobbyist, and even other countries)
Keep Church and State separated is not as some think. Our founding fathers knew from past experiences that they did not want the State (government) to control how we worship & what we worship. That is the only separation there is in our Constitution – the state has No control over how we believe – BUT that is what they want to take away from us.
