(Congress Report) – How many times have we all heard the radical left and those who claim to be conservatives within the NeverTrump movement, give people a hard time for supporting former President Donald Trump by attempting to slander and libel him with pretty shaky allegations of sexual misconduct? Too many to actually count. It’s one of their top five favorite digs to shame Trump supporters in hopes of convincing them through cruelty to join the hive mind of progressivism.
And yet, those same individuals screaming at the top of their lungs about how Trump is supposedly some dastardly villain have aligned themselves with alleged child predators. When they say that truth is stranger than fiction, it’s this sort of thing they’re talking about. We’re living in some kind of alternate universe where this behavior is glazed over because the individual is a Democrat.
According to writer Michael Austin of The Western Journal, a report from WCJB-TV disclosed that a man by the name of Joel Searby, who is a NeverTrump political consultant, was taken into custody by law enforcement on Thursday for various charges related to allegedly trying to meet a 15-year-old boy for sex.
“In 2016, Searby ran Evan McMullin’s independent campaign for president, a last-ditch effort backed by multiple NeverTrumpers — including, notably, the Lincoln Project’s Rick Wilson, as reported by The Washington Post. The arrest report from the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office in Florida said the 43-year-old began speaking to the boy via the picture-messaging app Snapchat on Wednesday,” the piece added.
Joel Searby, 43, was charged with lewd/lascivious conduct and 2 counts of obscene communication related to luring a minor to meet him for sex. Searby recently led an initiative to convert three schools in Newberry to municipal charter schools. https://t.co/SnTrZxg6gp

Local authorities revealed that Searby had sent the teenage boy a number of sexually explicit pictures, described sexual encounters, and asked him if he ever had a crush on an older man, before finally trying to set up an encounter with the teen at Searby’s home.
“Law enforcement officials were made aware of the messages, and on Thursday morning, officials took over the 15-year-old’s end of the conversation,” Austin wrote. “Authorities then executed a search warrant on Searby’s home, arrested him and charged him with lewd and lascivious behavior, communication to lure a minor, communication to travel to meet a minor and using a communication device to commit a felony, WCJB reported.”
What’s strange about this whole situation is that Searby is not the only one who is part of the NeverTrump movement to be charged with these sorts of allegations.
“Wilson’s Lincoln Project also had to deal with some of its own after the group’s co-founder, John Weaver, was accused of sexually inappropriate behavior toward young men and teens,” Austin continued.
Joel Searby was the chief strategist for Evan McMullin's 2016 presidential campaign.

“In 2021, 21 young men accused Weaver of sending them unsolicited sexual messages, sometimes in exchange for career advancement opportunities. One said he was just 14 when the Lincoln Project co-founder approached him. Weaver eventually apologized for his actions,” the article noted.
“To the men I made uncomfortable through my messages that I viewed as consensual mutual conversations at the time: I am truly sorry. They were inappropriate and it was because of my failings that this discomfort was brought on you,” he stated, as per Axios.
John Weaver, a GOP strategist and Lincoln Project co-founder, has for years sent unsolicited and sexually provocative messages to young men, often while suggesting he could help them work in politics, according to interviews with 21 men who received them.https://t.co/pUe961l7qX

A lot of so-called “right-wing NeverTrumpers” have become sweetie pies for leftist mainstream media outlets, consistently being praised by these networks for supposedly standing on their “convictions.” Is that what we’re calling selling America down the river these days?
