(Congress Report) – Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, a Democrat and the running mate of Vice President Kamala Harris, has once again been caught in an “exaggeration,” which most of us normal folk would interpret as being a lie, in describing his journeys to China, new reports have revealed. An article published by, shockingly, CNN, stated that ever since 2014, Walz has made claims that he visited China back on June 4, 1989, when the Chinese government was cracking down big time on pro-democracy protesters who had gathered in Tiananmen Square.
“As a young man, I was just going to teach high school in Foshan in Guangdong, and was in Hong Kong in May of ’89,” the vice presidential candidate commented at the time. “And as the events were unfolding, several of us went in. And I still remember the train station in Hong Kong.”
“The opportunity to be in a Chinese high school at that critical time seemed to me to be really important. And it was a very interesting summer to say the least. Because if you recall, as we moved in that summer and further on and the news blackouts and things that went on, you certainly can’t black out news from people if they want to get it,” he continued.
“However, the Washington Free Beacon found that on May 16, 1989, the Nebraska-based Alliance Times-Herald showed a photo of Walz touring a Nebraska National Guard storeroom,” The Western Journal reported. A different publication pointed out that Walz took a trip to China in August of that year, not June. This guy couldn’t tell the truth to save his soul, folks. He’s allergic to telling the facts as they actually are just like a kid might swell up if they eat peanuts.
“Over at Minnesota Public Radio, a report on Walz’s China connections that supported his close connections with China said a report it found from mid-August of 1989 said he was leaving for China where he would teach as part of a program called WorldTeach ‘in a few days,'” the WJ piece divulged.
“Walz was so proud of his experience in China when he was a Congressman that, occasionally, he even appears to have exaggerated it, like when he commemorated the Tiananmen Square massacre of June 1989,” MPR remarked in the article, also going on to say, “Walz also appears to have exaggerated the number of times he has been to China.”
“I lived in China. And as I said, I’ve been there about 30 times,” MPR noted Walz as saying.
Tiananmen Tim!
Funny they’re changing this now – we were planning on calling him out for this at the debate tomorrow night!

The report also disclosed that between 1989 and 2016, the period in which Walz claims he visited China 30 times, he would have had to visit the communist nation more than one time a year. However, MPR did not locate evidence to suggest any official visits to the country while Walz was serving in Congress. His time in office started in 2007 and ended in 2018 when he became the governor of Minnesota.
Media outlets have asked the Harris-Walz campaign to provide explanations for these discrepancies.
“And after weeks of searching, a spokesman confirmed that Walz traveled from the US to China closer to 15 times,” the MPR report explained. CNN also asked the campaign a few questions about this issue.
“When asked by CNN if Walz was in China during the Tiananmen Square protests, the Harris campaign was unable to provide evidence to substantiate Walz’s claim,” CNN penned in an article.
So what’s the big deal if he got the number of trips to a foreign nation wrong? Maybe he just lost track of how many actual times he went to China? Well, the big issue is that Walz has a well established reputation for being a habitual liar. He’s lied about his rank in the National Guard for example. Heck, even those who served with him in the military declared that he lies about everything, including stuff that doesn’t make any sense. We call these folks pathological liars.
Most politicians tend to lie a lot, but that’s different from doing it all the time. We might be looking at someone becoming the next vice president who lies, cheats, and steals. Our country already has that with the current administration. Look at the damage this has done to our nation and its people. We can’t afford four more years with someone who constantly lies and is a puppet of China.
Not to mention, when Walz was much younger, he helped boost Chinese Communism, saying in 1991, that communism means, “everyone is the same and everyone shares.”
“The doctor and the construction worker make the same. The Chinese government and the place they work for provide housing and 14 kg or about 30 pounds of rice per month. They get food and housing,” he explained at that time.
What Walz didn’t tell his students was that this form of government practically controls every aspect of your personal life. They tell you what to think, when to think it, and how to express it. No original ideas. No creative problem solving that goes against the status quo. No incentive for doing the best at your job because no matter how good you do, you’ll always be making the same as everyone else.
It crushes liberty. That doesn’t seem to bother Walz, but it should bother you.
