‘Save Our Country’: WATCH Former Democrat Congresswoman Endorse Trump For President

(Congress Report) – Former Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, who previously ran for president in 2020 and absolutely scorched Vice President Kamala Harris during a debate at that time, announced on Monday during the NGAUS General Conference & Exhibition that she is supporting former President Donald Trump for president.

That makes two enormous endorsements for Trump in just a matter of days. Last Friday, independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. suspended his campaign and also backed the former president. It looks like MAGA is gaining a lot of steam, though you’d never guess it with all of the propaganda and media spin trying desperately to make it seem as if Harris is skyrocketing ahead in polls.

Randy DeSoto, contributor for The Western Journal, pointed out that Gabbard left the Democratic Party herself and became an independent back in 2022. The former Hawaii congresswoman told the audience at the event that she accompanied former President Trump to Arlington National Cemetery earlier in the day to pay respects to the 13 U.S. service members who lost their lives during a suicide bombing at Abbey Gate in Kabul, Afghanistan three years ago. This devastating loss could have been avoided had President Joe Biden not bungled the withdrawal. Or better yet, just left things alone.

“This is personal for me as I know it is for so many of you here. This is real,” she told the audience. Gabbard then recalled her first deployment to Iraq in 2005 with the Hawaii National Guard serving as part of a medical team.

“Every day we were confronted with that high human cost of war and that sadness as we boarded the plane when we left — that we were leaving some of our brothers and sisters behind,” she stated during the address. Gabbard then spoke of how other members of her unit ended up taking their own lives due to the trauma of what they experienced during combat.

“So I mean what I say when I share with you that I know that President Trump understands the grave responsibility that a president and a commander in chief bears for every single one of our lives,” she asserted. “We saw that in his first term of the presidency when he not only didn’t start any new wars, he took action to deescalate and prevent wars.”

Gabbard said that the former president views war as an absolute “last resort.” And that’s the kind of view you want your commander-in-chief to have because violent, bloody conflicts are expensive. And I’m not just talking about monetarily either, though that is certainly a huge part of it. I’m referring to the loss of lives, those involved directly in the militaries who are fighting and the collateral damage of innocent people caught in the crossfire. War should be avoided if at all possible.

The now independent former congresswoman then began launching an assault against Harris, going on to say, “This administration has us facing multiple wars, on multiple fronts in regions around the world and closer to the brink of nuclear war than we ever had been before.”

“This is one of the main reasons why I am committed to doing all that I can to send President Trump back to the White House where he can once again serve us as our commander in chief,” she remarked, firing up the crowd.

Gabbard talked about how the current administration added her name to the terrorist watch list, making the case that this is the typical way Biden and Harris handle any sort of political assent.

“We, as Americans, must stand together to reject this anti-freedom culture of political retaliation and abuse of power,” she declared to the audience. “I invite you to join me in doing all that we can to save our country.”

In a move that demonstrates pure intelligence, Trump has officially brought Gabbard in and made her a part of his preparation team for the upcoming Sept. 10th debate against Harris. As the kids say today, she’s cooked.
