REPORT: Putin Wants To Buy Billions In U.S. Weapons Biden Left In Afghanistan

(Congress Report) – President Joe Biden continues to make a huge mess pretty much anywhere and everywhere he goes and with whatever policy he puts in place to deal with a specific situation. At this point, it’s hard to imagine a worse person to occupy the White House. So what kind of major screw up are we talking about now? Let’s just say it’s a big one that connects the current situation in Ukraine with Russia and the troop withdrawal debacle from Afghanistan. You see, kids. There are consequences for our actions and sometimes they aren’t the ones we saw coming.

According to Stephen Green of PJ Media, there are now billions of dollars worth of U.S. military weapons on the negotiating table between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Taliban government that took over Afghanistan after the withdrawal of American troops from the region, says one insider.

“President Joe Biden’s bungled bugout from Afghanistan resulted in a windfall for the new radical Islamic government, including artillery, attack helicopters, and thousands of HUMVEES, machine guns, radios — all left behind as our orderly withdrawal degenerated into a rout,” Green revealed.

“The Department of Defense estimates the total value of the gear Biden left behind at a whopping $7.12 billion, and now Putin is reportedly offering to buy whatever he and the battered Russian Army need,” he continued.

As per The Sun, a post published on Telegram, which is a social media platform that, for some reason, is very popular with Russian bloggers, made the claim that “Putin is overseeing negotiations with the Taliban to recognise the Taliban government. In return, the Russian leadership is offering a major arms and military equipment swap,” General SVR channel said.

It then stated, “Putin reported that the Taliban possess weapons and equipment including those seized after coming to power in Afghanistan, that are scarce for the Russian Army at the front.”

As of this writing, the Russian Ministry of Defense has not issued a comment concerning the rumor.

Green goes on to note that, if he understands this negotiation correctly, it’s more of a weapons swap than a cash deal. The Taliban would give over its Western gear in exchange for diplomatic recognition, along with a few Russian weapons. How much use the Russians could get out of the U.S. weaponry is up for debate. One of the issues that the Russian armed forces would face when using these weapons is a lack of spares and proper ammunition, which is exactly the same issue the Taliban was running into.

“Still, given Russia’s massive losses — including up to 3,000 frontline and reserve main battle tanks — every little bit probably helps,” Green wrote. “If the deal goes through, there’s the added bonus of a diplomatic coup against the Biden Administration’s ineptitude — not to mention the further embarrassment of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians being killed by American weapons.”

Green then reported, “U.S. Southern Command chief General Laura Richardson told the Atlantic Council this week that the Biden Administration has offered Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua — all trouble spots for us — and six other Latin American nations used U.S. military equipment if they’d send their old Russian and Soviet gear to Ukraine.”

This is much more firm than the rumor concerning the Taliban and Putin, since it’s already been confirmed by Gen. Richardson herself. However, the U.S., Germany, Poland, and the United Kingdom are currently in the process of sending some battle tanks like the M1 Abrams, Leopard II, and Challenger 2 to Ukraine.

One reason this is so concerning is because it seems to be establishing some form of alignment between Ukraine and other nations around the world, which might be perceived by Russia as countries joining forces together to get involved with and meddle into their business. The last thing we need right now is World War III.

“Communist China’s rise and Russia’s reckless invasion of Ukraine — and the West’s response to both — have effectively blunted globalization. The world is bifurcating once more, with China and Russia on one side, and NATO plus the westernized Pacific Rim nations (Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand) on the other. The rest of the world will be pressured to take sides in Cold War II,” Green remarked in his article.

Assuming that Ukraine manages to stave off the invasion of Putin’s Russia, they will no doubt adopt the usage of Western equipment, whether or not they are officially made part of NATO.

The Russia-Ukraine war needs to have a keen, geo politically savvy eye on it, which means that eye cannot belong to President Joe Biden who barely knows his own name and where he is on a daily basis. Let’s hope this conflict resolves peacefully very soon before things get more out of hand.
