(Congress Report) – There are quite a few explanations for why President-elect Donald Trump stomped the socks off Vice President Kamala Harris during the 2024 presidential election, one of them being the Christian vote. For years and years, since the days of Barack Obama’s first term in the White House, the radical left has been dropping the hammer on followers of Jesus Christ. Clearly, this critical demographic has had enough of it. And they fought back the righteous way, not with violence and awful name calling, but at the ballot box, exercising their rights and striking a fatal blow to the current progressive movement.
Many believers looked at this presidential cycle as a race between good and evil. On one side, you have principles and ideals that uphold those found in the Bible, those our nation was built upon, particularly the right to life. On the other side, you have a set of values and beliefs that are the polar opposite of Christian values, especially as it comes to the make-believe “right” leftists think they have to murder the pre-born.
“Thus, one finds it unsurprising but also heartening to learn that, according to a post-election report published last week by the Cultural Research Center (CRC) at Arizona Christian University, self-identified Christian voters proved decisive in Trump’s victory,” Michael Schwarz of The Western Journal wrote. “For instance, the president-elect earned 56 percent support among Christian voters — at least those who called themselves Christians. By contrast, Harris won only 43 percent of the self-identified Christian vote. Trump’s 13-point winning margin might not seem overwhelming until one considers that Christians constituted 72 percent of the overall electorate.”
And that made a huge difference in the race.
As per Schwarz, the CRC survey of 2,000 voting-age adults also contained some good news. Voters of “no religious faith” went for the vice president by 29 percent, 64-35, which honestly isn’t a surprise. So where’s the good news? Those voters are only representative of 24 percent of the U.S. adult population and just 19 percent of those who cast a ballot last month. Christians, however, showed up in much higher numbers.
“Overall, therefore, while Christians represent 68 percent of the U.S. adult population, they comprised 72 percent of the 2024 electorate. In other words, because they showed up at the polls, American Christians wielded power disproportionate even to their large numbers. Of course, a nationwide survey cannot quantify Christians’ precise impact on the Electoral College,” the article said.
Information gleaned from Decision Desk HQ revealed that Trump took home the victory in swing states by margins that ranged from around 30,000 votes in Wisconsin to more than 120,000 votes in Pennsylvania and more than 180,000 in the states of North Carolina and Arizona.
Schwarz rightly pointed out in his piece, “Above all, by celebrating the murder of unborn children, embracing notorious warmongers and promoting a transgender ideology that denies biblical truth while encouraging the destruction of self, Democrats collectively have morphed into something that looks less like a political party and more like a modern death cult.”
America has rejected this death cult and its sick and twisted principles. It’s time for Democrats to get with the program.
