Paul Pelosi Attacker Gets Bad News

(Congress Report) – The Department of Justice has officially recommended that David DePape, the man involved in the attack on former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s husband in 2022, be given a sentence of 40-years behind bars. I don’t really know or understand what exactly happened that day, as the whole situation is a massive tangle of knots, but this man ended up throwing away his whole adult life. Was it really worth it? I’d say not.

“DePape was found guilty on all federal charges in November 2023 after he broke into Pelosi’s house in an attempt to kidnap her, and bludgeoned her husband, Paul, with a hammer. Prosecutors wrote in the DOJ memo that ‘sentencing factors compel the statutory maximums recommended here,'” the Daily Caller noted.

“The defendant planned a violent hostage-taking of the Speaker Emerita, and then nearly killed her husband,” prosecutors stated. “The defendant planned and unleashed violence and has stayed true to his belief that his actions were necessary.”

“U.S. attorney Ismail Ramsey, along with assistant U.S. attorneys Helen Gilbert and Laura Horn, also wrote in the memo that the sentencing factors ‘demonstrate that the 30 years maximum on the count with the most significant statutory maximum is not sufficient to meet the sentencing goals,'” the DC continued.

DePape ultimately pleaded not guilty to the charges filed against him, however, during testimony delivered at his trial DePape said that he attacked Paul Pelosi while attempting to carry out a plot to kidnap his wife. Clearly this guy is mentally ill because why would you plead not guilty if you’re just going to admit that you actually did the crime you’re accused of? Pelosi’s husband ended up being in the hospital for six days due to a skull fracture and other injuries he suffered during the assault.

“The man also listed future targets during his testimony, including Tom Hanks, Hunter Biden, former Vice President Mike Pence, Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom and independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders. DePape’s defense argued that he acted due to delusional views about politicians and government,” the Daily Caller concluded in its report.

This man definitely seems to be playing the game of life with less than a full deck of cards. And despite not liking Pelosi or her insane leftist policies, we must never condone acts of wickedness and evil such as the one DePape carried out against those he saw as his political enemies. The Founders have provided us with peaceful means of removing corrupt leaders from our government. We need to respect and honor those processes.
