(Congress Report) – Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, the man who launched an investigation into the alleged hush money payment made by former President Donald Trump to a porn star during the 2016 presidential election that has resulted in his being indicted, was absolutely eviscerated by the mother of a murdered man in New York City on Monday during a remote House Judiciary Committee hearing. And man, oh man, did this guy deserve every comment made against him.
“House Republicans sought to highlight Bragg’s failure to go after violent criminals in the borough at the Jacob Javits Federal Building near Bragg’s office. Last week, the committee announced witnesses who would testify about the extent to which the criminal justice system has failed them and their families,” Jonathan Jones wrote for The Western Journal.
It’s important to note at this point that the indictment Bragg brought against Trump is for 34 felony counts of falsifying business records and also happens to be the fulfillment of a campaign promise that the district attorney made to go after the former president. This whole thing is political and is further weaponization of various government agencies and positions against President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party’s political opposition.
“The George Soros-backed district attorney used resources that could have put violent people behind bars to appease those who want to see the former president jailed. But New York’s crime statistics got a face Monday when a woman named Madeline Brame explained how she waited for years for her son’s killers to pay for his murder only to have Bragg show two of them leniency after he stepped into office last year,” Jones continued.
Army Sgt. Hason Correa, 35, was severely beaten and then stabbed to death by a group of individuals in Harlem back in October 2018. His murder was captured on video and four people were brought up on charges, according to a report published by The New York Post.
However, the case ended up dragging on for years. Which is a violation of the right to a speedy trial marked in the Constitution, a right that is meant to help bring about swift justice and restitution for victims, while also not keeping the accused on the hook forever.
“Correa’s mother explained to lawmakers and a room full of people in Manhattan on Monday how Bragg’s refusal to lay down the hammer on violent offenders denied her, her son and her family justice,” Jones added.
To say the testimony provided by Correa’s mother was powerful is an understatement.
Two of the man’s killers are currently serving 20 years to life behind bars, however, Brame complained that the other two individuals involved in the murder only got a slap on the wrist.
“When Alvin Bragg came into office, he was handed a strong, trial-ready murder case and gang assault case against all four of these individuals,” she recounted. Under the watch of Bragg, Brame said the case “immediately began to unravel.”
“He dismissed — completely dismissed — gang assault and murder indictments against two of the defendants clearly on video participating in the brutal, savage slaughter of my son,” she revealed during her testimony.
“Hason was kicked, punched, stomped and stabbed nine times by four individuals whom he did not know, nor had he done them any harm,” she continued, offering a description of the beating her son endured.
One of the four killers is already out after Bragg’s office sentenced her to time served. Another is due out within two years.
“If that’s not a threat to public safety I don’t know what is,” Brame stated, visibly angry. Her testimony was then met with applause.
“Brame is the face of New York’s forgotten victims under a district attorney who refuses to throw the book at perpetrators of the worst crimes imaginable. She is a mother who will never see her son again and she could have taken some solace in seeing his killers sent away for the rest of their lives,” Jones pointed out.
Bragg has denied this mother, who suffered the ultimate pain that a parent should never have to endure, the loss of a child, closure and justice for what happened to her and her son. All the while, this man is using every possible resource to go after a former president for alleged bookkeeping infractions. Deplorable.

Kudos to this woman for standing up for justice and showing how our liberal prosecutors are failing America. It is happening all over America, not just in NY. Hopefully these failing individuals will get voted out of office. We don’t need more thugs on the street. Politics needs to stay out of the judicial system.
The key here, is to rid society of 44 and soros and his sons, who i hear are worse than the old man. What’s the problem here; soros is wanted in europe.
Braggs has has never been held accountable.
Public humiliation and ridicule are simply not enough.
Braggs should be the happy recipient of criminal malfeasance felony charges. (Throw in 33 felony parking citations for good measure.)
What a brave woman and mother she is! The world better start listening. Stop allowing the tail to wag the dog!!! Our government, in All its phases, has gone down the toilet and we have allowed it!
Yeah! The guy is a total loser and is more interesred in the Democratic plan to attact Trump then doing his job.
