(Congress Report) – If you were to ask a conservative to describe ‘The Daily Show’ host Jon Stewart, you wouldn’t likely hear a lot of friendly adjectives being bandied about. He’s clearly a leftist and isn’t anywhere near to being a fan of former President Donald Trump. Stewart is a typical liberal henchman being used by the left in the entertainment industry to help spread progressive propaganda.
So when he comes out and says that he’s sick and tired of how his side of the political spectrum is filled with a bunch of weak and whiny individuals who don’t understand the first thing about comedy, you know the left has veered off a cliff. And that’s exactly what’s happened.
Over the course of the weekend, former President Donald Trump held a historic rally at Madison Square Garden, featuring a number of famous speakers. One of these was comedian and roast master Tony Hinchcliffe. Notice the “roast master” part? Yes, he’s an expert at insulting people for laughs. If he’s going to be speaking somewhere, you know for a fact that he will make offensive jokes at someone else’s expense. It’s literally what Hinchcliffe does for a living.
During his rally speech, the comedian wise-cracked about Puerto Rico essentially being a floating island of garbage. This, of course, made left-wingers lose their minds and begin screaming about racism at the top of their virtual lungs. After all, the internet is where the vast majority of these people go to air their grievances.
But, in reality, has anyone taken a look at Puerto Rico lately? The beaches look like landfills. Runoff is going into the water supply. It’s pretty dirty and does indeed look like a floating island of garbage. Notice he did not say the people were garbage. He stated that the island looked like garbage. But to the left, small details such as that matter very little.
The outrage from liberals was way too over the top for Jon Stewart.
According to The Western Journal, “Appearing in his usual Monday night slot as host of ‘The Daily Show,’ (yes, the same show Stewart hosted for years solo, which now features a rotating cast of hosts) Stewart actually somewhat came to the defense of Hinchcliffe. In fact, Stewart even admitted that he found Hinchcliffe’s brand of bombastic humor to be pretty funny, himself.”
Props to @JonStewart for admitting he finds @TonyHinchcliffe funny.
“I find that guy very funny. I’m sorry, I don’t know what to tell you. I mean, bringing him to a rally and having him not do roast jokes? That’d be like bringing Beyoncé to a rally and not … " pic.twitter.com/Y3ZFCnRtDb

Stewart kicked off his segment by providing the audience with examples from both CNN and MSNBC of the outrage Hinchcliffe’s humor induced. The talking heads on these networks referred to the joke as being “racist” and “repulsive.” One even referred to it as “X-rated,” which boggles the mind.
“Now, obviously, in retrospect, having a roast comedian come to a political rally a week before Election Day and roasting a key voting demographic is probably not the best decision by the campaign politically,” Stewart went on to say, in order to stay in the good graces of his leftist overlords. Can’t have something critical of liberals and not include a passing diss toward the former president.
“But to be fair, [Hinchcliffe] is just really just doing what he does,” Stewart added. The Comedy Central pundit then showcased various scenes of Hinchcliffe making fun of all kinds of people at the roast of former NFL quarterback Tom Brady.
One of the jokes from the Brady roast was aimed at Jeff Ross. Hinchcliffe joked, that Ross is “so Jewish he only watches football for the coin toss.”
“The comedian then compared former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski to a stupid Nazi who kept burning himself and said that comedian Kevin Hart (who is black) is so small, that his ancestors called picking cotton ‘deadlifting,'” The Western Journal reported.
“Yes, yes, of course. Terrible. Boo. Yes,” a deadpanning Stewart remarked as he tried to hold back his own laughter at the jokes. “There’s something wrong with me,” Stewart added. “I find that guy very funny. I’m sorry, I don’t know what to tell you.”
Or, just maybe, there’s nothing wrong with Stewart for finding comedy funny. Perhaps the people who have a problem with Hinchcliffe’s comedy simply can’t see that it’s all in good fun? Just a theory of mine.
