Election Judge Hit With Felony Charges After Auditor Uncovers Major Scandal

(Congress Report) – An election judge working out of a township in the state of Minnesota has now been charged with two felony counts of accepting votes from individuals who should not have been allowed to cast a ballot in the 2024 election. Remember how the left told us that our elections are completely free and fair? That allegations of fraud were untrue and just attempts by MAGA Republicans to overthrow the results in 2020? Sorry to burst their bubble but fraud does happen and nine times out of ten, it’s perpetrated by Democrats.

As per Jack Davis, contributor with The Western Journal, Timothy Scouton of Nevis, Minnesota was the head election judge of Badoura Township Precinct in Hubbard County, local news outlet KMSP-TV reported. Now he faces one count of accepting the vote of an unregistered voter and an additional count of neglect of duty by an election official.

“After the election, Hubbard County Auditor Kay Rave could not find some required voter registration forms among the paperwork Scouton turned in after the election, according to The Associated Press,” the piece divulged.

Rave spoke with local law enforcement, stating that on Nov. 7, she reached out and made contact with Scouton, who told her that he could not locate the registration forms for a total of 11 voters. Once Rave located the forms, Scouton told her that he, along with several other election judges, didn’t use them, a fact outlined in the criminal complaint. She then contacted local police and informed them that 11 voters did not complete the required forms to verify their identities.

“Another judge said Scouton told her on Election Day to not use the Minnesota Voter Registration Application form, the complaint said. Scouton’s son was working as an election judge, that person said, and was responsible for registering applications. Another election judge said he did not know Minnesota Voter Registration Application forms even existed because Scouton said new voters only needed to sign in, the complaint noted,” Davis wrote in the article.

The local sheriff took Scouton into custody.

“These allegations are extremely serious and must be fully and thoroughly investigated. Election judges take an oath to administer elections in accordance with the law, a deliberate failure to do so is unlawful and a betrayal of the public trust,” the Minnesota Secretary of State’s office went on to say in a statement.

“Minnesota’s elections rely on the dedication and public service of 30,000 people and they are required to conduct their work fairly, impartially, and within the letter of the law. The Hubbard County Auditor took prompt and correct action in notifying local authorities of the uncovered discrepancies so they could investigate,” it read.

Local outlet KTSP-TV stated that Scouton received basic election judge training and head judge training back in July. As of this writing, Scouton is scheduled to make his next appearance in court on Jan. 6, 2025.

Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon remarked that “99.99 percent of election judges do the right thing. But you are going to have somebody do the wrong thing,” a report from the Minneapolis Star-Tribune disclosed.

“It was caught and detected. … The system worked,” Simon concluded.
