A Threat? Secret Service Orders Trump Campaign To Halt Massive Outdoor Rallies

(Congress Report) – There’s no doubt that one of the most powerful weapons — in the proverbial sense, I’m not being literal here — former President Donald Trump has in his political arsenal is rallies. There are a lot of things that set Trump apart from other politicians, but his desire and ability to connect with the common person is truly unique. Trump’s rallies allow him to spread his message and share his platform with those who are backing him for the presidency. It keeps the base fired up and excited about voting for him too, which increases voter turnout during elections.

It’s genius.

And that’s why the Deep State tucked away within the complicated labyrinth that is our federal government is always trying to find some way to stop him from holding these large events. Back when he ran for president in 2020, radical left-wingers used the coronavirus pandemic to restrict the number of folks who could attend with the implementation of Marxist “social distancing” guidelines.

So what are they using this time? The failure of the Secret Service to provide basic safety and security for the former president during one his rallies, which resulted in him nearly being assassinated by a 20-year-old failed marksman. Secret Service officials claim that it is far too difficult to secure outdoor rallies due to their size and have been telling Trump to stop holding these kinds of political events.

“Secret Service officials encouraged Donald Trump’s campaign to stop scheduling large outdoor rallies and other outdoor events with big crowds after the assassination attempt on the former president in Butler, Pa., according to people familiar with the matter,” a Washington Post piece noted.

One of the main reasons that Trump loves to hold his rallies outside is because they accommodate the large number of supporters who like to attend the events. Oftentimes, people will travel from neighboring states to hear him speak.

Reports have divulged that members of the Secret Service rejected requests from concerned agents assigned to Trump’s security detail before Thomas Matthew Crooks fired off several shots at the former president during a rally on July 13th in Butler, Pennsylvania. One of these shots pierced the ear of the former president.

Due to this incident, the Trump campaign is, as per the Post, “scouting indoor venues such as basketball arenas and other large spaces where thousands of people can fit.”

The question we all need to ask is whether or not the “pleadings” of the Secret Service are threats. As in, pick indoor venues with smaller audiences or next time, we might not stop the shooter. Ominous, right?

“During a rally in an arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Saturday, Trump appeared to lament that some supporters had been left outside.” The Guardian reported.

“According to the Post, Trump advisers had told the Secret Service the 2024 re-election campaign was planning to hold large events, and would need increased protection and assets. But the agency is believed to have turned down the requests, citing a lack of resources,” The Guardian stated. “If Trump now holds rallies in more secure locations, such as sports arenas, they will prove more expensive to the campaign.”

The more money each one of these events cost, the less of them he will be able to have. That means less message spreading and less firing up crowds of voters. Sounds like an effective plan, doesn’t it?

During a Senate briefing it was revealed that agents within the Secret Service had identified Crooks as being suspicious ten minutes before the former president took the stage.

“The Secret Service did not secure a roof next to Trump’s rally even though they identified it as a security vulnerability several days before the event,” TGP disclosed. “Then-Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle said agents didn’t man the roof because it was ‘sloped.’ Crooks also reportedly flew a drone over the Butler, Pennsylvania fairgrounds and got aerial footage of the layout shortly before Trump took the stage at last Saturday’s rally.”

Let’s hope that Trump is able to continue getting his message out there to the voters no matter what strategy he has to employ.
